Sweet 16 in New York City

For Megan's 16 year old trip, Bruce planned a trip to New York.  They flew out Thursday night on the red-eye, spent all day Friday and came home on the late Friday night flight.  Crazy, fast trip...but made lots of memories!  Happy 16th Birthday Megan!

Let the planting begin...

For Kyle's Eagle Scout Project he worked with the city to plant trees in our neighborhood park.  With the new high school going in, much of the trees that outlined the park have been removed.  We all thought more shade would be great as well as more buffer between us and the school.  The city also asked Kyle if he would mind replacing 3 more trees in the park strip that had had been hit by cars.  Score for us, because one of those trees was in our backyard and had left a wide open hole in our landscape.  Kyle had a lot of support from the ward and the new trees look fantastic!

Kyle decided to get domestic and make cinnamon rolls to have on hand the morning of his eagle scout project...lookin' good!

Some Serious Salsa

Michelle and I got together and made salsa.  If I do say, it tastes wonderful.  Michelle had lots of roma tomatoes and I had lots of peppers so between the two of our gardens we made 38 jars of salsa.

Henry's Blessing

We went and spent the weekend at Kris and Eric's home in Idaho so that we could attend Henry's baby blessing.  We had a great time hanging out and being together.  

Conference Weekend

We like to go up between fall conference sessions to see the leaves.  They were beautiful this year.

We also did a puzzle together.

Gone Fishin'

Bruce entered a silent auction for a guided fishing trip at a MD dinner we attended a few months back.  Monday, they met up with the guide and went up Spanish Fork Canyon to spend the day fly fishing.  Bruce said the guide was great.  Bruce caught 3 and Kyle 1 (although he had 2 others on the line that "got away").   They had a great day!  Kyle is hooked and requesting fishing gear for Christmas!
