Lindsey Laugh

We were walking with Lindsey when she called out a familiar childhood rhyme with an accidental twist, "Don't step on the cracks, or you'll fall and skin your knee". We thought it was so cute. It is now a familiar phrase when we are out and about.

Park Party

We invited the family to meet at the park for a little get-together with Grandma while she was here. Jeff and his kids joined us for a nice visit and some football. Not to be boastful, but Team Bruce won the scrimmage.

sleep-over with Grandma

Tyson didn't actually sleep with Grandma, but the minute he woke up (5:45 am) he was ready to join her. I held him off for 2 hours, but then gave up and let him loose. He apparently went down and crawled into bed with Grandma and stayed there for close to an hour! As time went on, Megan and Kyle joined the party. The more the merrier, right Grandma?

The Lion King

Bruce surprised us with Lion King tickets. Kyle decided that he wanted to go to his football game instead, so we had a great idea, and called Grandma Gwilliam to see if she would want to come with us. She was a good sport and packed her bags and came out spur of the moment. So Meg, Grandma, and I ventured up to the Capitol Theatre and watched a great production and then enjoyed a filling dinner at the Olive Garden. It was a great girls day out! Thanks Bruce!

Driving Diva

Megan is now 15. The legal age for a learners permit. We went on her birthday, but due to not having the correct documentation and getting there late, we were asked to come back the next day. The next day, Friday, was late start day, so we went a little after 7, processed her paperwork, and she took the test. In order to get your permit, she had to get 80%. She passed with no less than 81% - but she did do it on her first try. She has been out a couple of times since and loves being behind the wheel.

Happy 15th Birthday Megan!

On Megan's actually birthday, we celebrated with Cafe' Rio (eat your heart out Mike) and cake and moose trax's ice-cream! We bought the cake and ice-cream at the voodoo store, but I let Lindsey tell Bruce where it came from. As we drove up to the store she stated, "I know where we are, S-M-I-T-H-S, Maceys!"

LIndsey

Last month my parents got home from their Alaskan Cruise! The night before they got on their cruise they stayed in a really nice hotel. At the hotel they had the sleeping glasses that you put over your eyes to block out the sun. ( I am not sure what they are called) My parents had brought them home just for fun. Lindsey thought they were the coolest things. The next morning I walked into her room to see her and I found her like this. I have to admit that she can be cute...Sometimes.

Labor Day Laboring...

On Labor Day, we took out Grandma and Grandpa's boat to see if she was running well. Kyle was so excited because he had watched his video and was going to catch some air on the wake board and to his pleasure, he did! It was cold, so the kids brought their wet suits. Megan is particularly sensitive to the cold. It was funny to watch her get into the water...a little drama. Everyone enjoyed the tube and Grandma Warner came along to see the show and take the footage. Thanks for the pictures Grandma!

Family Picture Day...

Family pictures are fabulous, but they certainly don't come easy. One child in particular doesn't cooperate very well - he doesn't like posing. If we can get just one Ok picture with him, we couldn't ourselves lucky. I think the pictures will tell the story...
