Happy Birthday Grandpa G!

Grandpa and Grandpa dropped Kaitlyn off at our house to spend some time with us in Utah on their way to Idaho for the Egan Reunion.  Their arrival coincided with Grandpa's birthday, so we had a celebration ready for him!  Happy Birthday to you!

Drive-In Movie

Our neighbors planned an outing to see Disney's Brave at the drive-in theatre in West Valley.  It was opening night and we ended up having to park on the very last row with very limited viewing options.  Can't say it was what I remembered drive-in's being...sitting out on lawn chairs and having a full view of a big screen, but the kids seemed to have a good time.

Megan and her friends made a "bucket list" of things to do their last summer before her older friends graduated.  Tonight they were able to mark off two of their summer goals.

So Tired

Tyse was so tired after a poor night of sleep that he fell asleep in the bath-tub.  I drained the water and covered him with a blanket and he slept for a while while I took a nap on the bed.

Wolf Creek Vacation

We took advantage of an opportunity to use Mom and Dad's time share in Ogden Canyon.  We had a wonderful time swimming, playing racquetball and tennis, and hangin' out together.

Need a Masseuse?

Do you need a back massage, a foot rub, or a good lotion rub down?  The little kids opened a salon and pampered us all (and used up most of our lotion supply).

The water was great!  Even the little kids took a try.  Unfortunately, our little person ski wasn't working right and just dragged the little ones until they were too afraid to try anymore.  Kari and Bart had a kiddie ski too that we eventually pulled out after having no luck, and Thatcher and Addie did finally get  the courage to try and popped right up, but Lindsey was too frightened to try again.

Lindsey was nervous about jumping.  It took lots of coaxing from all of us, but she finally did it!

Lake Powell

Lindsey and Addie spent hours building their "kitchen" on the shoreline.

Kari and Bart invited us to Lake Powell again this summer.  We had a great little cove with a great sandy beach!  The kids played for hours in the sand and swam to the "island".  The weather was better than it has been in years...just to make sure Michelle, Kari and Bart dug the anchors 6 feet down.
