Lindsey, Kyle and I drove to Brigham City to walk through the temple before it was dedicated. It was a long drive, with a long wait, but hopefully it will be something the kids remember.
For Lindsey's birthday party, we went to a salon. Each of the girls got their hair done, nails painted and a touch of make-up. After, we went to a park for presents, cupcakes and playground fun.
Lindsey, Thatcher and I went camping with Greg and his family. It was so great to be in the beautiful mountains. We had a great camping spot right by the river and loved being in the great outdoors.
Greg has the ability to work from home. So he, Jess and the girls came to Utah for the month of August and stayed with Michelle. We planned an outing to Thanksgiving Point Gardens. The kids had a great time!
Shirlene organized a Olsen family gathering this year in Logan. It was really fun to reconnect with my cousins and get caught up. We met at Aunt Lavina's club house for lunch and games and the kids swam in the pool. It was a nice day. I have a good family!
Kyle was excited to play football this year. He went to tryouts and the first day they put on pads, he and another player hit just right and Kyle broke his collar bone. He had to wear a brace and adjust his activity level for 8 weeks. Both Bruce and Kyle were so bummed that he couldn't play this season and it put a damper on the end of summer activities!
