Lindsey's new violin!

Lindsey decided she wanted to play the violin and join the elementary school orchestra.  We decided to buy a used violin and found this Suzuki beauty on KSL.com.  We drove to Ogden to pick it up and Lindsey couldn't wait to give it a try and pulled it out as soon as we got in the car.  I enjoyed her enthusiasm and attempt as exploring her instrument the whole way home!

Gordon Van Tassell and Tyson

Gordon Van Tassell has been a good friend to Tyson.  Their family has always had a soft spot in their heart for him!  Gordon was his scout leader buddy and they spent time together on some scout nights doing chores and playing with the animals on the farm.  Tyson saw Gordon at church and somehow convinced him to invite him over.  Gordon took him for several hours and as you can see from the picture, he had a wonderful time!  We have truly been blessed with so many that help us carry the load of raising this special boy!

Halloween Dance

Just as last year,  Kyle was asked twice on the same night to the same dance.  We made the rule that the first to ask gets the guy.  Hard to be so handsome and have the eye of the ladies, right Kyle?

Avalanche

Lindsey made the Avalanche girls competitive soccer team.  She gets to play with her BFF Skye.  It has been a  good experience and has challenged her!

Happy 19th Birthday Megan!

We went down to Provo and took Megan to dinner at the Brick Oven for her birthday!

Dragon Dash

Lindsey was the 4th place girl in the Draper Dragon Dash.  The Dragon Dash is a 5K that the school does every fall.

Tyson Activities

Watching Kyle Play Hoop

Bowling Class: Tyse bowls every other Wednesday with Wasatch Adaptive Sports.  They always serve pizza which is his favorite part of the event.

Tyson goes to SNAP (special needs activity program) every Thursday evening.  His buddy this year is Jonah.

Tyse loves to swim.

Tyse loves to do art projects...especially painting.

Tyse spends time with BonnieJean on Mondays and Wednesdays for a couple of hours after school.
On Wednesday nights, he hangs out with Bob in the evenings.  Pretty full, fun, and busy schedule for Tyse!

Tyse loves riding horses.  He asks often to go by taping the top of his head (the sign for helmet).  He rides every other week on Tuesdays.

Tyse loves magic shows, ventriloquists, funny clowns, musicls, movies and the circus.

He loves animals.  Loves going to the dog park,  feeding the goats and playing with Reggie.

First attempt: the girl had already been asked. but Kyle got a dozen donuts.  He joked that he was going to find out who had already been asked and go ask some more girls just to get the rejection treats.

Second attempt:  it's a go.  Kyle has a date to Homecoming!

Culinary School

To celebrate our birthday, Bruce signed us up for a pasta class at the culinary school.  We made homemade pasta, ravioli, and sauces.  Then at the end, we were able to sit down and enjoy a very yummy dinner!  

Labor Day Hike

Kyle, Megan, Lindsey and Bruce hiked to the first lake on the Bell Canyon Trail.  Tyson, Goose and I went to a local park and played until they were done.
