Thanksgiving

We hosted Thanksgiving this year.  We invited Uncle ElVon and his family to join us but due to a bad fall and the flu, they weren't able to come.  It was a fun day of food, crafts, family and games.

Fall Fun

Skye, Lindsey and Tyson enjoying a nice fall day!

Cokeville Tournament

Senior Girls

Each year the volleyball team travels to Cokeville, WY to play in a tournament.  Senior Moms are invited to go and help chaperone and feed the girls.  We all slept on the gym floor in the local elementary school.  I walked around and took in the small town life.  The girls had a great time and played hard on and off the court!

Family Photo Shoot Favorites

Garfield County Float

Grandma ad Grandpa Gwilliam and I went to see the county float display at the school.  Grandpa had helped Lindsey gather information and start her float on an earlier visit so he got to participate start to finish!

Corner Canyon Varsity Basketball

After much anticipation, the tryout list was posted and Kyle made the Varsity team.  According to Megan, he was jumping up and down and hugging his dad over and over.  He said he was Ok with either Sophomore or Varsity...said he just wanted to make a team, but I think deep down he was hoping Varsity with his buddies and was thrilled when the list came out.  They just had their "Blue and White" game and he did great!  Go Chargers!  Go Kyle!

Varsity Volleyball Retreat

It is tradition for the Varsity team to go to Park City over-nighter in preparation for state!  They  for team building, dinner at Pizza and Pasta, a visit to the chocolate factory (Meg and I highly recommend the apple pie carmel apple), a long walk with rocks in shoes and movies / sleepover in preparation for State.  I went up with 2 other Moms and spent the weekend with them.  It was fun to go!

Eagle Court of Honor

Brad Cox presented Bruce with his mentor pin.

Caw-Caw!  He is official.   Merit badges, eagle project, paper work, sewn patches, board of review...and finally the court of honor!  We are proud of his hard work!

Great Gatsby Formal Dance

Lacey Bartholomew asked Kyle to the first dance of the year at Corner Canyon.  It was his first formal. They went to the Trampoline Warehouse for their date and then they went to Ruby River in a "party bus" and then to the dance.

State Volleyball

Alta made it to state this year.  They had a great first match and won, but then lost their next two matches and were eliminated.  It was bitter-sweet to watch....so fun that they made state and were playing at UVU yet so sad to think that we were watching her final high school games.  She has loved all of it: practicing, playing games, making lasting friends, and being able to serve her team!

Goose

We got a new dog...Goose!  Our friends, the Meyers, called and asked if we were interested in a dog.  His sister was wanting to find a good home for him.  We had been debating on getting a dog for Tyse.  They dropped him off for a weekend and after that it was too hard to think of giving him back.  He is very obedient and very well trained...he sits, stays, lays, comes.  Lindsey loves to train him, Megan runs with him, Tyse likes to put his face right next to Gooses and loves to have him chase the laser light, but unfortunately no one really wants to "scoop".    He sleeps with Lindsey or Tyson at night and I am pretty convinced he thinks he is a human.
