... this year was BUST! Just outside of Fillmore, Bart's truck went into limp mode. We traveled slowly back to Fillmore where they guys took it to a garage and Kari and I took the kids exploring. We went to the museum at what was once the Utah State Capitol. It was quite interesting. We ran through some sprinklers, hung out at the library, and had some ice-cream at the main street soda fountain. The car was ready to go, so we set out again, just to get a few miles out of Fillmore to have the truck break down again. This time, the truck was toed back to Fillmore. We hung out again and with another attempt at fixing the truck, headed out on the road again. Outside of Kanab, the axle on the trailer broke. He was toed back to Kanab and we went ahead to try to get to the houseboat before it was too dark. We did make it, but it was dark when we were picking up the last people from the boat ramp. We spent the night on the bouy and waited for Bart to head return in the morning before heading out. It was an incredibly long day, but the rest of the week was perfect and we enjoyed every minute in one of the greatest places on earth!
