The first two days on the island were extremely windy. We watched the forecast and the winds were to continue for at least another day on our side of the island. So we decided to head out for a day of adventures on the Hilo side of the island. Our first stop was Akaka Falls. It had great reviews and a walking trail through beautiful foliage and views of two beautiful waterfalls.
